LAS VEGAS — For anyone who missed out on their company’s last big conference in Vegas, now’s your chance at another shot at attending.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) has created a series of virtual scenic backgrounds for Zoom, one of the largest video-conferencing providers, to make working from home a bit more glamourous. Backdrops include various Las Vegas locations, like the Fountains of Bellagio, the famous Las Vegas Strip, Paris hotel’s Eiffel Tower and the iconic Las Vegas sign.
This means that when agents dial in to a video conference with the rest of their team, they can do so “on location, in Las Vegas” like the high rollers that they really are!
How it works is simple enough: go to https://www.visitlasvegas.com/hang-like-youre-in-vegas/, select your favourite video or photo background, and save it to your computer. Once you’re logged into Zoom, open your account settings, click the ‘up arrow’ next to ‘Start Video’, and select ‘Choose a Virtual Background.” It will then prompt you to upload your Vegas video or photo that you’ve saved.
The destination also comes to life through an array of other virtual experiences that instantly transport users from their homes straight to the Entertainment Capital of the World with the tap of a phone or click of a button. And after weeks of self-isolation at home, a mini-getaway to Sin City is exactly what we all need right now!
