LONDON — The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is gearing up for its 24th Global Summit, taking place this year from Oct. 8-10 in Perth, Western Australia.
Under the theme ‘Ancient Land: New Perspectives,’ the event will draw industry leaders and government representatives from around the world who’ll be collaborating on strategies to ensure the continued growth and sustainability of global travel and tourism.
This year’s keynote speaker is 68th U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, whose impressive career includes leading strategies on nuclear non-proliferation, countering extremism and signing the Paris Agreement on climate change on behalf of the United States. In 2021, he became the first Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, and the first Principal to sit on the National Security Council solely focused on climate issues. He’s also a decorated Vietnam War veteran and best-selling author, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2024 for his lifetime commitment to public service.

Australian conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin will also take to the stage in Perth, as will top business leaders like Greg O’Hara, Certares Founder & Senior Managing Director and WTTC Chair; Matt Goldbert, TripAdvisor CEO; Audrey Hendley, “American Express Travel President; Jerry Inzerillo, Diriyah Company Group CEO; Hiroyuki Takahashi, JTB Corp Chari for the Board; and James Thornton, Intrepid Travel CEO.
