TORONTO — The votes have been tallied, the winners announced. Did your favourite Canadian hotel make the list?
More than 128,000 travellers took part in the 28th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey – the most in its history – voting on a wide array of categories ranging from ‘Best Cities in the World’ to ‘The World’s Best Cruise Lines’. But for proud Canucks mostly interested in “our home and native land”, the survey also includes three Canadian categories that showcase our country’s very best.
In the category of ‘Top 20 Hotels in Canada (not including Vancouver)’, the Trump brand trumped all others. Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto was voted #1, with a score of 92.052. This luxury, five-star property in downtown Toronto impresses with extra touches like its signature Trump Attaché service, which includes everything from personal assistance and luggage-free travelling to personalized business cards and stationery, as well as overnight laundry and dry cleaning, personal shopping and nanny services. Ranking first in the ‘Top 10 Hotels in Vancouver’ category is The Loden Hotel, a luxury boutique property located in the downtown core.
