TORONTO — Who says you can’t enjoy fine dining at an airport? Certainly not Food Network Canada celebrity chef Lynn Crawford, whose restaurant at Toronto Pearson International Airport just won ‘Airport Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year’.
The Hearth by Lynn Crawford, brought by HMSHost, won top spot on The Moodie Davitt Report’s prestigious 2018 Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Awards, which recognize and reward best practices in airport food & beverage around the world.
Located in Terminal 1, The Hearth by Lynn Crawford features a market-inspired and chef-driven menu that includes small plates and appetizers, hearth-fired flatbreads, elegant mains and side and decadent desserts. The food is matched with craft ales, classic cocktails and first-rate wines.
“At HMSHost, we’re revolutionizing the way travellers think about their airport dining experience to immerse them in the local food culture,” said HMSHost President & CEO Steve Johnson. “These esteemed FAB honours are not possible without the invaluable partnerships we have with our brand and airport partners, along with the dedication of HMSHost’s exceptional team of associates across North America who continue to drive the travel dining industry forward.”
This is not Chef Crawford’s only venture in the travel industry. Her award-winning culinary skills can also be sampled in-flight onboard Sunwing Airlines, which offers chef-inspired, buy-onboard light meals and snacks, including kids’ choices.
So depending on where you’re flying to and who you’re flying with, you can potentially dine on Chef Crawford’s delicious cuisine every step of the way on your travels, to which we say bon appétit!
