VANCOUVER — Visit Seattle has signed on with destination rep Canuckiwi Consulting to manage its consumer and trade marketing, and travel trade relations in Canada starting this fall.
Says Corey Marshall, Principal, Canuckiwi Consulting: “As Canadian travellers return to the U.S., we are honoured to work with Visit Seattle to inspire Canadian travellers, travel advisors and tour operators to choose the Emerald City. Canuckiwi specializes in representing U.S. destinations so partnering with the renowned Pacific Northwest city of Seattle is a natural fit.”
Caitlyn Shearer, Tourism Manager, Visit Seattle, adds: “As a border city, Canada is Seattle’s top international market and Canadian travel advisors, tour operators and OTAs are key partners to driving our visitation. We are excited to continue to welcome Canadians back to Seattle.”
Air Canada’s daily, nonstop service to Seattle from Montreal started in June 2022. There are also nonstop flights to Seattle operated by multiple airlines from Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna.
Seattle’s selling points are legion, from its mild, Pacific Northwest coast climate, to the Cascade mountain range and proximity to three U.S. National Parks (Mt. Rainier, North Cascades, Olympic). Marshall says Canadian hockey fans can check out the NHL’s newest team, the Seattle Kraken, at the Climate Pledge Arena.
