CANCUN — Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resorts have started to reopen their doors.

Facebook Live video showing the first official guests arriving at The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun includes a red carpet arrival, warm welcome and applause from the entire operations team at the resort.

The event included a massive light switch that officially ‘turned the lights back on to paradise’, says the company, while also kickstarting a welcome performance by mariachis, complete with sparklers.

The brand had over 100 check-ins on June 8 in Mexico, and expects that number to increase with the June 9 arrivals. About 80% of the arrivals were from the U.S.

Palace Resorts & Le Blanc Spa resorts will continue to reopen safely, with its Purely Palace program, an elevated cleanliness & safety protocol. The brand’s promotions include two resort rooms for the price of one.

Palace Resorts is also donating 1,000 three-night stays to front-line heroes throughout the U.S.
