TORONTO – This is one upgrade we’d rather do without, thank you very much.
Nate Zemanek and his partner, who were recently vacationing in Europe with Holland America, paid $600 for a cabin upgrade only to find themselves in a room directly facing a workman with a loud drill.
In a video uploaded to Youtube, the workman is seen doing repairs in full getup right outside the couple’s window. Zemanek commented that they were informed “the crew would be working during the day the entire time.”
He also wrote, “This is our view for our wonderful European cruise … Thanks for telling us when you upcharged us $600 extra for the window guys.”
The video has been viewed 2.5 million times.
