CONCORD, ON — Victours has a new island-hopping boutique cruise experience in the Canary Islands off the Moroccan Coast.
The seven-night cruise is onboard Harmony V, a 25-cabin mega yacht that can easily navigate and reach each of the seven main islands, says Firdosh Bulsara, who manages product and marketing for Victours.
“We are always searching for unique and experiential experiences to bring to the market. Introducing the ‘Canary Islands Discovery Cruise’ onboard the Harmony V allows us to provide a private yachting feel that clients can savour and that their experience would be somewhat in line with those of celebrities sailing on their own yachts.”
Accommodations are premium and contemporary with most cabins offering flexible bedding configuration; either two twin beds or a double bed. All cabins offer large windows, ensuite bathroom and shower, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, mini fridges, hairdryers, safe deposit boxes and individually controlled air-conditioning. The Bar Lounge, Dining Room and the Sun Deck are the most frequented areas of the yacht. Meals are served ‘al fresco’ at the Sun Deck Bar (weather dependent) or in the dining room. Organized excursions are available and pre-bookable with Victours.
The timing to visit the islands is limited to between December and March, considered to be the best time of the year when temperatures are cooler and winds calmer. The islands offer some of the most exotic colours and are also a “treasure chest” of several UNESCO sites, says Bulsara.
The seven-night cruise explores Gran Canaria with its Capital Las Palmas, cosmopolitan Lanzarote, Tenerife and La Palma. Clients can also discover the simple wild beauty of Fuereteventura and the quaint island of La Gomera.
Sailing dates from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria Island are Feb. 20 and 27 and March 5 and 12. Cruise only prices start at $2,795 per person for Cat. C (main deck double-bedded cabin).
Honeymooners receive special discounts. Single, triple and child rates are available on request. Rates are commissionable and an early booking bonus is available if booked by Feb. 2.
