TORONTO — Snap away, Vancouver! Today, the city will be going live on Snapchat, the popular photo-sharing app, joining New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Berlin and Barcelona as official ‘Snapchat Live’ cities.

Vancouverites are invited to share photos of the city by taking a ‘snap’ as they normally would, and then tapping the ‘stories’ button. The app will then give them an option to send their snap to ‘Live Stories’. The best photos will then be curated into a stream visible to Snapchat’s 100-million-plus viewers around the world.

The result, according to Snapchat, is “a story told from a community perspective with lots of different points of view.”
