TORONTO — Softvoyage wants to make selling travel as easy as possible for agents and with that goal the company has announced a partnership with Uplift.
The California-based company launched in Canada in March 2019 with industry veteran Denise Heffron at the helm. Uplift offers alternate payment solutions for travel, allowing clients to book now and pay over time. Since its 2019 Canadian launch Uplift has signed deals with tripcentral.ca, Travelbrands/Redtag.ca/
The deal, announced yesterday, is not an acquisition, confirms Dan Langevin, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Softvoyage.
But it is a partnership that will see Uplift made available through Softvoyage’s Sirev booking platform, giving agents a new tool to attract clients and create new revenue streams.
“We are very pleased to join forces with the team at Uplift,” says Langevin. “We are always looking for ways to innovate and enhance our offerings for the travel community especially in these unprecendent times and believe this partnership will do just that. Like Softvoyage, Uplift specializes in travel – together our companies have a deep understanding of both travel and technology. It’s a winning a combination.”
Langevin adds that as well as offering Uplift financing through Sirev, Softvoyage is also making Uplift available to its partners whose consumer websites they host. “This will allow Softvoyage’s clients to remain at the forefront of development and distribution,” said Langevin.
Denise Heffron, Managing Director at Uplift, says the alliance with Softvoyage and Uplift’s availability through Sirev “opens up new opportunities for advisors and will change how our nation looks at travel.”
Heffron added: “By leveraging Sirev’s cutting edge technology, we’re able to reach more Canadians and provide travel advisors with quick and easy access to Uplift. Sirev is Canada’s premier shopping and booking tool for the agency community and it’s an honour to join forces with Softvoyage.”
