TORONTO — Travel industry veteran Julie Virgilio has joined TRAVELSAVERS Canada as its new Director of Strategic Partnerships.

Based in Toronto, Virgilio brings with her over 28 years of wholesale and retail industry experience. She started her career with Transat Holidays in 1992 and went on to serve roles with Transat Tours Canada, Flight Network and Transat Distribution Canada.

In her new position at TRAVELSAVERS, Virgilio will work closely with preferred suppliers to develop targeted and strategic marketing programs to support a diverse range of travel segments and products.

According to TRAVELSAVERS, Virgilio has developed a strong sales background from her years in retail travel, and has proven successes in sales initiatives, project leadership, marketing and management of a sales force. “Her sound understanding of retail operations and supplier relations is an asset to her new role,” said the company.
