TRAVELSAVERS Canada hires Joaquim, promotes Burke

TORONTO — TRAVELSAVERS Canada has appointed Sandra Joaquim as Director, Supplier Marketing and promoted Clare Burke to the North American role of Director, Education and Training.

“The timing is right to expand our leadership team since we experienced such significant growth last year,” said Jane Clementino, Senior Vice President and General Manager, TRAVELSAVERS Canada. “We’ve had several new agencies join our consortium this year so it’s important to maintain our premium level of service and support. Our commitment is to equip our affiliates with the right tools for growth and career satisfaction.”

The moves underscore the company’s dedication to continuous improvement, its

service-first approach and its mission to offer top-notch support to TRAVELSAVERS Canada affiliates, she added.

Joaquim will play an integral role in managing the communications for 100 suppliers for annual marketing and advertising campaigns across all channels. She previously served as Senior Director for Red Label Vacations.

“I’m thrilled to be joining TRAVELSAVERS Canada because of its great reputation as the trusted consortium for travel agencies,” she said. “Its plethora of programs, incentives, and opportunities are designed to help agencies meet and exceed their business goals, with lots of support along the way. I’m ready to embrace my role and to put my 25 years of travel experience to good use!”

Burke transitions from Manager of Marketing into her new position. Burke will manage professional development activities, leading the creation of agendas and curriculums for travel advisors, agency owners and managers at events. With a focus on training and development, she will further develop strategic education plans for TRAVELSAVERS to enhance advisor performance.

“Training and education on travel-industry specific content and skills are essential for advisors to remain successful and differentiate themselves in an ever-competitive marketplace,” said Burke. “I look forward to sharing my firsthand knowledge and previous training experience across all of our divisions.”
