TRAVELSAVERS Bootcamps, Owners Retreat focus on education, profitability

WHISTLER, BC — TRAVELSAVERS affiliates gathered at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort, here earlier this month and will meet in Eastern Canada at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier Hotel, Ottawa, Nov. 21-23, for a three-day intensive profit-building program.

The Bootcamps immerse delegates with actionable information and strategies for boosting profitability. Keynote speaker Paula Mulford addressed improving communications skills and learning to profile others to improve relationships with customers, colleagues, managers and direct reports.

“An added benefit to hosting annual Bootcamps, is that our business analyst teams, the only group of its kind within travel consortiums, have opportunities onsite to work hand-in-hand with each agency to review its business and create customized sales and marketing plans to make them more profitable, says Kathryn Mazza-Burney, Executive Vice President, Sales, TRAVELSAVERS.

Mazza-Burney added, “Bootcamp events further highlight TRAVELSAVERS’ service commitment to the industry to educate affiliates for today and for the long haul with valuable strategies and ideas.”

In addition, workshops showcase TRAVELSAVERS innovative technology platforms and products that empower agents to be more profitable through efficiency and profiling customers, as well as sessions on target marketing and the importance of specialization.

“The Bootcamp was well executed and I enjoyed engaging with the owners and agents in attendance,” said Emily Spadafora, Agency Sales, WestJet and WestJet Vacations.

TRAVELSAVERS also hosted an Owners Retreat at Whistler featuring interactive panel discussions, educational sessions and networking opportunities for agency owners.

The focus of the Owners Retreat is on building profitability for TRAVELSAVERS owners and provides a dynamic opportunity for owners to network and share best practices with each other.

As well, keynote speaker Paula Mulford spoke about the importance of building credibility, and how you can build your ability to lead and influence others. Other sessions focused on effective digital marketing with Ron Cates of Constant Contact and the value of social media.
