TORONTO — Discover America Canada is welcoming members and travel colleagues to attend its upcoming AGM and luncheon on March 27 at the Boulevard Club in Toronto.
Discover America Canada aims to develop and facilitate the promotion of tourism to the U.S. The organization will be giving a comprehensive review of last year’s successes, outlining plans for 2024 as well as featuring guest speaker Barry Choi.
Choi is an award-winning travel and personal finance expert and Globe and Mail columnist who regularly appears on various TV shows in Canada and the U.S. His site (MoneyWeHave.com) helps Canadians use loyalty programs to travel better. Choi will share his insights on Canadian loyalty programs to help Discover America Canada members and guests ensure that they are maximizing their potential and using loyalty programs as an important tool to keep customers coming back.
“Having attended Discover America Canada events in the U.S. and Canada, this is an exciting opportunity to talk about something I’m passionate about. Destinations are quick to appeal to foodies, families, and luxury travellers, but there’s been a lack of effort to attract those who are obsessed with points. Understanding how Canadians view loyalty points is essential, as it’s potentially an untapped market,” said Choi.
This year’s AGM will be sponsored by member Visit Rochester, the official tourism promotion agency for Greater Rochester and Monroe County.
To register, RSVP via email to http://admin@discoveramericacanada.org by Thursday, March 21.
