TORONTO — It was a record-breaking month for Canadian travel to Japan with some 17,700 trips from this market in January 2016. This was a 24.2% increase over January 2015 and a 37.7% increase over January 2014, according to the JNTO.
It was also the country’s best travel month from this market since February 2015, and marked 12 months in a row that Canadian travel to Japan has exceeded a 20% increase from the same month in the previous year.
