Last month, Boomerang Tours hosted a series of eight ‘South Pacific Extravaganza’ trade shows across the country, and at each show one travel agent’s name was drawn for a chance to win one of two grand prizes: a Tahiti getaway package for two and Cook Islands trip for two.

The final draws have been made and the winners are: Stephanie Simpson from Sears Travel in Edmonton, who won the Tahiti prize, and Bryan Evans from Marlin Travel in Victoria, who won the Cook Islands trip.

Stopping in eight cities across Canada – Mississauga/Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Edmonton, Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver – the shows not only showcased Boomerang Tours’ comprehensive program but also shone the spotlight on supplier partners including tourism boards from New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Cook Islands, Samoa and Vanuatu, along with representatives from Air New Zealand, Air Tahiti Nui and Fiji Airways, plus hotel and cruise suppliers from New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji, Cook Islands and Australia.

Prizes were given out at the end of each event, and one travel agent was drawn from each city for a ‘1 in 8’ chance to win the Tahiti Giveaway and Cook Islands grand prizes.

The Tahiti trip for two comes compliments of Air Tahiti Nui, Tahiti Tourism and SPM/Pearl Resorts of French Polynesia and includes:

• Roundtrip domestic airfare from Tahiti to the island of Tikehau;
