CALABASAS — AmaWaterways is getting into the Olympic spirit with a new incentive for travel advisors.
Launched ahead of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, the new ‘Cruise for Gold’ incentive offers Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals to three travel advisors.
A Gold Medal includes a luxury suite on AmaWaterways’ 12-day Secrets of Egypt & the Nile river cruise, departing between September 2024 and March 2025.
A Silver Medal winner will enjoy a twin-balcony stateroom on any European itinerary from September 2024 to March 2025 (excluding Portugal).
A Bronze Medal winner will take home a French balcony stateroom on any European itinerary from September 2024 to March 2025 (excluding Portugal).
All prizes are for a travel advisor and guest (subject to availability).
Travel advisors are automatically entered into the contest for every new fully-deposited booking on any 2024 and 2025 French itinerary made during the Summer Games (July 26 to Sept. 8, 2024). The more bookings, the more entries. Winners will be drawn at random and announced on Sept. 9.
To help travel advisors maximize reservations during this period, AmaWaterways has produced a wide range of marketing materials including social reels, imagery and videos, all available on the company’s Travel Agent portal. A new video and additional reels for social media featuring AmaWaterways’ French cruises have been added to the sales/marketing materials. Plus, a France-themed webinar will be shown on July 24; to register click here.
According to Alex Pinelo, Senior Vice President, Sales at AmaWAterways, the company is already seeing strong demand for its French itineraries, boosted by this year’s Summer Games. In order to meet demand, AmaWaterways has introduced a new Flavors of Burgundy itinerary for 2024, plus two new 2025 offerings: the 14-night Grand Seine & Bordeaux and Grand Seine & Rhône.
“Over the coming weeks the eyes of the world will be on France” said Pinelo. “Every day, millions of people will be watching live streams from many parts of France, and this will undoubtedly bring the destination to the forefront of their minds. It’s not just Paris that will be hosting events, Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon are all operating as Summer Games venues and will be in the spotlight too. The travel advisor community has a great opportunity to capitalize on France’s high profile and earn both great commissions and fabulous prizes.”
AmaWaterways operates a choice of eight French itineraries across five ships, more than any other luxury river cruise line. Voyages include fine dining in multiple venues, unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner, daily Sip & Sail cocktail hour, a daily variety of small group excursions, Wi-Fi, a Wellness Program, airport transfers and more.
