Transat’s Surprise Dates contest is back today, book before midnight

MONTREAL — Transat is back at it today with another Surprise Dates contest, which is meant to acknowledge the contributions of travel consultants across Canada to the company’s growth for the past 30 years.

Every booking of a Transat product made today by midnight automatically earns consultants a chance to win one of three monthly trips that will be drawn at random in the following three regions: Quebec-Ottawa, Ontario-Atlantic and Western Canada.

The three winners will each enjoy a package for two, including Air Transat flights in Economy and a one-week, all-inclusive stay at one of the following Barcelo Hotel Group resorts: Occidental Punta Cana in Dominican Republic, Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Riviera Maya, and Occidental Costa Cancun in Cancun.

There is no need to register; contest entry is automatic as soon as a travel consultant sells a Transat flight, package or cruise during the day.

Plus, two other travel agents per region who’ve booked a Transat product today will be selected at random to earn $30 in Bonbon rewards. The winners’ names will be announced in the coming days.

From February to November 2017, Transat is drawing a total of 30 surprise trips – three each month – from among travel consultants in Canada. On one day each month, on a milestone date in the company’s history, every booking they make will earn them one chance to win.

On this date 30 years ago, Air Transat signed a contract to purchase its first two Lockheed L-1011 aircraft. A few weeks later in November, one of the planes would make Air Transat’s inaugural flight to Acapulco.
