TORONTO — Travel Agent Day is just around the corner, a day when the travel industry celebrates all the work, dedication and loyalty of its front-line travel agent partners.

This year Travel Agent Day takes place next Wednesday, May 1 and while most travel companies are busy putting the finishing touches on their promotions, others are getting a head start by announcing their special offers now.

Transat wants to give agents ‘Europe for the World’, with a brand new contest especially for Travel Agent Day.

Agents who book a European package or European cruise package with Transat April 22 – 30 will have their names entered into Transat’s Travel Agent Day draw to win two tickets for any of its flights.

Transat will select one winner per region, who will be announced May 1.

Globus family of brands is also thanking agents with an Avalon Waterways prize, in honour of Travel Agent Day.

Any travel advisor booking and depositing any of the company’s four brands – Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways or Monograms – during the May 1 – 31 booking window will have his or her name entered in a contest to win one of Avalon’s European Avalon Active & Discovery cruises for two. Every booking results in one entry.
