TORONTO — Travellers have until June 19 to take advantage of Transat’s Summer Cruise Event, which includes savings of up to $1,000 per couple.
Those who book a Transat cruise package for the summer of 2017 will enjoy many benefits, notably on the brand new MSC Meraviglia in the Western Mediterranean where free offers include an upgrade to a Balcony Stateroom, Cirque du Soleil Dinner & Show, and a Fantastica Experience Package.
And with Transat’s all-in-one cruise packages, travellers will receive flight protection, baggage allowance of 28kg, meet-and-greet assistance upon arrival at the airport and more.
In other Transat news, the tour operator has announced the names of its June winners for its Surprise Dates Contest. They are: Patricia Batista of Marlin Travel in Bradford, Ontario (Ontario-Atlantic); Kari Olsen of Vista Travel Olds in Alberta (Western Canada); and Nathalie Jean of Club Voyages Crémazie in Montreal (Quebec-Ottawa).
Each has won a package for two, including Air Transat flights in Economy class and a one-week, all-inclusive stay down south. The prizes were awarded as follows: Dreams Dominicus La Romana in Dominican Republic (Batista); Secrest Capri Riviera Cancun in Mexico (Olsen); and Dreams Sands Cancun Resort & Spa in Mexico (Jean).
Also, $30 in Bonbon rewards were attributed to these agents following a random draw among all participants: Rebecca Pollard of G. Stewart Travel Services in Peterborough, Ontario and Rosanna Cannella of Red Label Vacations Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario (Ontario-Atlantic), Mickey Coleman of Maritime Travel in Abbotsford, British Columbia and Melanie Davis of MT Doug CruiseShipCenters in Victoria, British Columbia (Western Canada), Julie Comtois Blain of Voyages Val-d’Or, in Abitibi, Quebec and Ginette Côté of Voyages Nouvelle Escale, in Saguenay, Quebec (Québec-Ottawa).
To mark its 30th anniversary, Transat will draw at random a total of 30 surprise trips for two this year – three surprises each month from February to November – from among eligible travel consultants in three Canadian regions: Ontario-Atlantic, Western Canada and Quebec-Ottawa. The draws will be held on predetermined (but secret) milestone dates in Transat’s history. There is no need to register the reservations since the contest entries are automatically made as soon as a consultant anywhere in Canada sells a Transat flight, package or cruise on the surprise day.
The next Surprise date will be in July.
