MONTREAL — Transat is adding the island of Curaçao, located in the Southern Caribbean, to its sun destination portfolio that includes 36 destinations.
Beginning on Dec. 20, 2015, Transat will fly to Curaçao from Toronto on Sundays through to April 3, 2016 where it will offer four premium resorts, namely the Renaissance Curaçao Resort & Casino, the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, the Hilton Curaçao and the Sunscape Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino.
The Dutch island of Curaçao has seen a recent increase in tourism from Canada, making it the fastest-growing Caribbean destination for Canadians, according to the Caribbean Tourism Organization.
Curaçao’s more than 35 beaches feature crystal-clear turquoise waters and secluded inlets. Curaçao is also home to over 55 different cultures and offers an eclectic mix of eye-catching architecture and diverse cuisine along with a range of activities, including world-renowned diving and snorkelling, UNESCO World Heritage sites, shopping and nightlife.
