Transat cancels Western Canada flights to USA & South, delays Air Canada deal

Transat adds groups to Tripbook

MONTREAL — Transat is making it easier for travel advisors to book groups on their own with new self-service booking features on Tripbook.

In collaboration with Softvoyage and following a thorough design and development process, the industry-first features allow advisors to select seats for all occupants in the same room, add luggage, generate electronic documents, and make payments for their group bookings.

A second phase of development is planned to add even more self-service features to Tripbook and will be unveiled in the coming months.

“By being the first to adopt this technology, Transat is making it easier for travel agencies to book groups by giving them greater autonomy, which translates into efficiencies throughout the process,” says Julie Sareault, Transat’s commercial director. “Integrating groups into Tripbook was a longstanding request – and we have listened. This is an important step forward for us.”
