VIENNA — TourRadar has put a bow on its annual event, Adventure Together.
Taking place at Palais Wertheim in Vienna Oct. 18 – 19, the hybrid event brought together more than 1,800 travel industry experts and thought leaders from 102 countries for two days of discussions, networking and collaboration.
In roundtables, panel discussions, and sessions covering key trends and challenges, topics ranged from sustainability and diversity to innovation and future-proof growth.
The event also featured networking opportunities and extras tailored to the needs of different attendee groups, including GuideTogether: A training event in collaboration with TripSchool and the Global Guide Alliance, showcasing some of the industry’s top tour guides. TourRadar also announced it would bring back its Guide of the Year program in 2024, which was paused during the global pandemic.
Q&A sessions with key members of the TourRadar community offered operators and travel agencies a look at recent developments on TourRadar’s platform.
One initiative, Channel Manager, allows any operator on the platform to sell their adventures through any channel partner – a travel agent, influencer, creator, or OTA. Some 14,000 travel agents and businesses have joined the platform. Also previewed: a new payment solution that allows smooth bookings and flexible remittances.
“Adventure Together 2023 provided an invaluable platform for our industry to connect, share knowledge, and explore innovative solutions for the future of travel,” said Travis Pittman, CEO, and co-founder, TourRadar. “We will continue to focus on building the platform and tools that the industry needs to grow. We’re also committed to bringing the whole category together to collaborate on how we move forward together.”
