TORONTO — Kensington Cruises, the cruise division of Kensington, is celebrating a period of unprecedented growth, with massive sales increases, new industry partnerships and an expanded portfolio of exciting itineraries.
Sales have surged by 100% year over year, says the company, while its team has also doubled in size. New partnerships have been forged with Windstar Cruises and Riverside Luxury Cruises, highlighting Kensington’s dedication to combining land-based exploration with luxury cruising. In response to growing demand, the company now offers extended journeys that include immersive pre- and post-cruise experiences, allowing travellers to delve deeper into the cities and regions near their embarkation and disembarkation points.
Building on this success, Kensington Cruises has significantly expanded its Shore Excursions program. Launched in December 2023 with 165 ports, the program has now grown to 250 ports worldwide. Moving beyond the traditional coach bus model, Kensington’s private guided shore excursions provide deeper cultural and historical insights. A private guide and driver meet clients at the port, leading them on historical explorations, active adventures and culinary journeys.
Kensington Cruises has also expanded its itinerary offerings with new voyages in Australia and the South Pacific. Options range from an 11-day voyage through Tahiti and Bora Bora to immersive 20-day adventures in Australia and New Zealand.
“The extraordinary growth of Kensington Cruises is a testament to our commitment to redefining what luxury cruising can be,” said Joelle Davis, Vice President of Kensington Cruises. “Our travellers want more than just a cruise – they want a journey that immerses them in the destination, both on and off the ship. By expanding our partnerships, shore excursions and land experiences, we’re giving our clients more opportunities to explore the world in a way that’s uniquely personal to them.”
