Best of Jordan on full display during Exotik Journeys FAM

TORONTO — Exotik Journeys recently wrapped up an educational FAM trip to Jordan, highlighting the country’s most iconic historical, cultural and natural sites.

Held from Feb. 3-10, 2025, the trip was led by Lina Côté, Sales Director, and Émilie Prudhomme, Product Manager for Asia and the Middle East, who guided the owners and directors of Transat Distribution Canada agencies through the highlights of the Hashemite Kingdom.

The journey began in Amman before heading to Mount Nebo, a biblical site offering panoramic views of the Holy Land. In Madaba, known for its 6th-century Byzantine mosaic depicting the map of Palestine, participants explored the region’s Christian heritage. The day concluded in Petra, where they experienced the awe-inspiring Nabataean city carved into pink sandstone.

A visit to Petra the next day allowed the group to take in the splendour of the Treasury and the Siq, made even more memorable by the unusually cold weather, which resulted in a nearly private experience. From there, they travelled to the Wadi Rum desert for an overnight stay in bubble tents, offering stunning views of the star-filled sky.

The following morning featured a 4×4 excursion through Wadi Rum’s lunar-like landscapes, showcasing 200-year-old Bedouin rock engravings. The group also shared a moment of hospitality with local Bedouins over traditional tea. The journey then continued to Aqaba and the Red Sea, where participants explored the vibrant port city and its bustling market. Travelling along a scenic route to the Dead Sea, the group took in dramatic landscapes of desert, rugged mountains and salt waters. A stay at the Mövenpick Resort Dead Sea provided the opportunity to experience the therapeutic benefits of floating and mud treatments.

On the final day, the group visited Jerash, an exceptionally well-preserved ancient Roman city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The journey concluded at the Amman Citadel, offering panoramic views of the capital and its historical landmarks.

Royal Jordanian provided international flights for this memorable trip. More educational trips and opportunities with Exotik Journeys are in the pipeline. For further details, visit www.exotikjourneys.com.
