TORONTO — TICO’s Annual General Meeting takes place today at 1:30 p.m. at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre at 4141 Living Arts Drive. President and CEO Richard Smart says the AGM is earlier in the day this year, in an effort to attract more registrants.
“We are trying something new this year, avoiding the severe congestion typical of rush-hour, by holding our AGM meeting early afternoon, and at a new cost-effective venue,” said Smart. “It’s our hope that many of you will take advantage of the easier access, and time, by attending our AGM and meeting other stakeholders, along with a few of TICO’s employees.”
On the agenda for today’s meeting:
- Receiving the financial statements for the previous financial year, together with the Auditor’s Report;
- Receiving and considering the Annual Report;
- Appointing the auditors for the Corporation and authorizing the Board of Directors to fix the auditor’s remuneration.
- Announcing the successful candidate for the position on the TICO Board of Directors; and
- Transacting such other business as may properly come before the meeting.
TICO members in good standing are entitled to participate in and vote at the meeting. Members of the public are invited to attend.
