TORONTO — TICO’s Board of Directors has approved payment of $8,006.45 to assist seven consumers who did not receive the travel services for which they had paid.
The payment was due to the closure of Blue Mountain Travel in Toronto ($900); Esna Travel and Tours in Markham ($5,000); SkyGreece Airlines S.A. ($606.45) and Smartchoice Travel & Tours ($1,500).
The Board denied one claim as the travel services being claimed were available or alternate travel services were made available, but were not received because of an act or a failure to act on the part of the customer or of another person for whom the travel services were purchased.
