TORONTO — Vision Travel Solutions has announced three new business development executives to its national sales team in Canada.
Vancouver-based Cheryl Hurlbut, MBA, is joining Vision’s Western Canada sales team, bringing over 20 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing. Prior to this, she led hotel sales teams in Washington, D.C., Vanuatu in the South Pacific, and Banff, and most recently managed a portfolio of intermediary accounts at InterContinental Hotels Group. Sabrina Strang, based in Ottawa, will be covering Ottawa and Eastern Ontario in her new role at Vision. A bilingual graduate in tourism at Laval’s College Montmorency, Strang has over 10 years of experience within the hospitality industry as sales manager for Best Western Hotels, several independent hotels and, most recently, at the new Hyatt Andaz in Ottawa’s Byward Market area. Lastly, in Toronto, Karim Benaissa joins the team with over 20 years of experience at Howard Johnson, the Fairmont Royal York, Westin/Starwood, Eastern Caribbean Freight Lines, Novotel and InterContinental. His most recent position was director of business travel for the new flagship Delta Hotel in downtown Toronto, where his team won Sales Team of the Year in the Americas for Marriott Hotel Group, which includes Delta properties.
