This fall in Montreal, check out the city’s restaurant week, avant-garde arts attractions and “Gardens of Light” at the botanical garden.
“MTL a Table” — Montreal’s restaurant week — offers restaurant deals, parties, tours and more, Oct. 29-Nov. 8. In November, SAQ (the Quebec Alcohol Corp.) is sponsoring Joyeux Novembre, a series of wine tastings and other events.
New technology is part of several arts attractions in Montreal: “Michelangelo’s Sistene Chapel – The Exhibition” uses special photo techniques to reproduce the fresco paintings and lets visitors explore them close up, through Oct. 12. “Sensory Stories” at the Phi Centre offers stories told through virtual, interactive and immersive technology until Sept. 27. The Festival Quartiers Danses offers contemporary dance Sept. 9-20, the POP Montreal music festival takes place Sept. 16-20, and the Phenomena Festival hosts performances Oct. 16-23.
“Gardens of Light” runs Sept. 4-Nov. 1 at the Montreal Botanical Garden, with a lighting design along pathways in the Japanese Garden and colored lanterns in the Chinese Garden.
