TWILLINGATE, NEWFOUNDLAND — Newfoundland-based The Polar Adventure Company has officially launched, with new independent travel booking and client advisory services exclusively for polar travel.
Headed by Jason Hillier and Clayton Anderson, both polar specialists, the Polar Adventure Company currently features more than 500 voyages and trips to the Arctic and Antarctic. This number is expected to grow to more than 1,000 in 2022.
Both its website and team members, which have a combined 35 years of polar experience with industry-leading brands, offer expert advice and recommendations for these niche destinations, while at the same time protecting travel agent commissions and client relationships.
At launch, the company features the following polar expedition partner brands in its search functionality, using Angular script for instant sorting of thousands of results by multiple criteria: Aurora Expeditions; Hurtigruten Expeditions; Hapag-Lloyd; Ponant; Quark Expeditions; Scenic; Seabourn; Silversea; and Swan Hellenic.
Other premium expedition partners soon to be available on the site (they are currently all available for booking) will include: Adventure Canada; Albatros Expeditions; Antarctica XXI; G Adventures; Heritage Expeditions; Lindblad Expeditions; Oceanwide Expeditions; and Polar Latitudes.
In early 2022, The Polar Adventure Company will also bring land-based expeditions from Arctic Kingdom, White Desert and others, as well as private yacht charters for the polar regions. The company also notes that Antarctica is open for business, with Argentina and Chile giving the green light for a return to Antarctic tourism.
“The pandemic pause on bucket-list trips such as these epic polar voyages has led to demand like never before in the industry,” said the company in an official statement. “The website polaradventure.com is product- and brand-forward and is the quickest and easiest path between a client and their polar voyage of a lifetime. Rather than spending their time searching multiple websites to find availability, The Polar Adventure Company allows consumers and travel advisors to have an overview of what is currently available in a single resource, with price matching, equal access to specials and simple navigation.”
The company also stresses that polar trips are offered at the exact same price as the ship or tour operators, with no price difference.
