ORLANDO — Walt Disney World is getting a brand new hotel, courtesy of Marriott International.

The hotel company announced earlier this week that a new tower hotel called The Cove will be built across the street from the Swan and Dolphin on Epcot Resorts Boulevard, near the Fantasia Garden miniature golf course. Upon completion it will include 349 rooms, which puts Marriott’s total number of rooms at all three hotels at 2,600.

The 14-storey The Cove will also offer a rooftop venue for weddings, a 90-seat restaurant, a 50-seat lounge, outdoor deck with a pool and fire pit, plus walking access to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach resorts.

The Cove is expected to open within the next two years.
