Several Thai newspapers are reporting that the country’s tourism industry has suffered since the bomb blast in August to the tune of 1.33 million visitors and THB64 billion, which is equivalent to $2.3 billion Canadian. Analysts do expect figures to recover in the last part of 2015.
A bomb in August in Bangkok near a popular tourist site 17 killed 20 people and injured another 130, causing governments around the world to heighten travel alerts to Thailand.
