In an effort to inspire and educate Canadian travel agents, Asia Now – a group of national tourism bodies for Korea, Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan – has launched a first-of-its-kind series of Virtual FAMs to push international travel across its 4 different countries. Hosted on Facebook Live, this campaign is designed to inspire awareness and consideration of the partnered countries, through highlighting unique experiences, customized itineraries and interactive video footage.
Travel advisors are invited to join Taiwan Tourism Bureau for Asia Now’s 4th Virtual FAM Tour to explore the ‘treasure island’ of the Asia-Pacific region, Taiwan.
The live virtual event will take place Tues. Nov. 23 at 9 p.m. EST (6 p.m. PST).
Says the Taiwan Tourism Bureau: “Travel to Taiwan to experience the country’s majestic Buddhist temples, world-class shopping and awe-inspiring national parks. With jaw-dropping scenery, a burgeoning art scene and some of the best street food in Asia, Taiwan travel is one of Asia’s best-kept secrets.”
Agents can discover Dadaocheng, an area in Datong District in Taipei, Taiwan. One of the oldest areas in Taipei, it’s an important commerce centre for selling Taiwanese products. The historic neighbourhood is a hot spot both for locals and visitors and filled with artsy boutiques, tea houses, fabric stores, souvenir shops, traditional market, trendy coffee shops, art galleries and Taiwanese cuisine.
