CALGARY — Swoop has set its sights on East Coast expansion, with new summer service scheduled from Hamilton to St. John’s, Moncton and Charlottetown.
The new service between John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and the three East Coast gateways will run from June through October as Swoop receives its tenth aircraft.
According to the airline, the tenth aircraft means greater opportunities for Canadians to travel throughout North America, and will increase its weekly frequencies to popular domestic, U.S. and international destinations.
“The growth of our fleet means more opportunities for Canadians as we continue our mission of making air travel simple, affordable and accessible for every traveller,” said Steven Greenway, President, Swoop. “Our growth in Eastern Canada is an exciting milestone for Swoop, proving our ability to develop our network domestically while also adding to our U.S. and international destinations.”
Hamilton to St. John’s, Newfoundland will run daily from June 22 to Oct. 23, 2020. Hamilton to Moncton, N.B. will run 4x/week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from June 24 to Oct. 23, 2020. Hamilton to Charlottetown, PEI will run 3x/week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from June 27 to Oct. 22, 2020.
With these new additions, Swoop’s summer 2020 network now has 12 domestic, five transborder and three international destinations.
