TORONTO — A brand new campaign from Switzerland Tourism includes promotional messaging for consumers as well as a contest for the trade.

With a rollout starting today, Oct. 5, and running through Nov. 1, the ‘I Need Switzerland’ campaign includes a partnership between Switzerland Tourism and  Goway in English-speaking Canada, and Tours Chanteclerc in Quebec.

With the Swiss borders having been open to Canadians for some time, the moment is right to talk about booking travel again, says Pascal Prinz, Director for Switzerland Tourism in Canada.

“Switzerland and Canada rank amongst the safest countries in this COVID-19 world according to a recent study by the Deep Knowledge Group,” said Prinz. “We remain a fully committed partner, supporting travel agents and tour operators with our biggest campaign in Canada.”

He notes that Canadians can travel to Switzerland without having to quarantine upon arrival, “and immediately enjoy the Swiss Alps and our four language regions.”

He urges Switzerland fans, which are legion, to “start your journey today with Mike Sidofsky, the young Torontonian photographer, showing you why you need Switzerland.”
