MONTREAL — Sunwing’s new direct service from Montreal to Cozumel will operate on B37-800s, departing Fridays from Dec. 16, 2016 – March 17, 2017.
Located above the second largest reef in the world, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, Cozumel boasts over 30 sites where divers and snorkellers alike can expect underwater encounters with manatees, sea turtles and dozens of species of coral and tropical fish.
Travellers can spot rare native birds on rainforest hikes in the Chankanaab National Park, observe black spiny-tailed iguana in the natural lagoon, explore ruined Mayan temples, try kite-surfing off one of the many sandy beaches or sample authentic Mexican cuisine in San Miguel.
For accommodation, the family-friendly Allegro Cozumel sits on one of the island’s best beaches and offers five restaurants, an on-site spa with whirlpool, tennis courts and large pool complex. There’s also a pirate-themed splash park and array of activities offered at the complimentary kids club.
The resort also has an Ultimate Dive Experience package including extras like daily dives and savings on diving equipment rentals, dedicated VIP lounge, customized check-in and upgraded accommodation. See sunwing.ca.
