TORONTO — Thanks to a highly successful 2014/15 season operating flights from Sault Ste. Marie to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, Sunwing Airlines is returning next winter with an extended weekly schedule of flights, commencing Friday Nov. 13 and running until March 25, 2016.

The airline has been offering sunshine flights from Sault Ste. Marie since 2008.

Several of Sunwing’s most popular properties are located in Punta Cana. CHIC Punta Cana opened in December of last year to wide acclaim, said the company.

Another favourite is Memories Splash Punta Cana Resort and Spa, part of Sunwing’s Family Collection which gives complimentary access to the largest waterpark in the Caribbean on-site.
