TORONTO — Sunwing Vacations is reporting the opening of NeXo, a new specialty restaurant located in Memories Miramar Havana, which is offered exclusively by the tour operator.
The addition of the new restaurant at the resort will allow guests to sample a fusion menu where Cuban cuisine is blended with Native American, Spanish, African and Caribbean culinary traditions and flavours. Brainchild of Michelin-star chef, Jesus del Cerro, the opening of the new restaurant is intended to be the first of a number of culinary concepts that the renowned Spanish chef is developing in collaboration with the Memories Resort chain, which are set to roll out over the coming months.
Opened just last year, Memories Miramar Havana enjoys a central location in Cuba’s capital, not far from its historical centre. Along with complimentary breakfast and a free airport and downtown shuttle, guests will also appreciate the multi-level swimming complex with paddling pool, tennis courts and on-site salon and spa with Jacuzzi and sauna.
A week at Memories Miramar Havana is available from $785 plus $380 taxes per person, based on two people sharing a standard room and departing from Toronto on May 12, 19 or 26, 2016. All Havana packages include complimentary daily breakfast and return flights on Sunwing Airlines to Varadero with complimentary airport transfers.
