TORONTO — Starting Dec. 19, 2017 Sunwing will introduce new direct service between Vancouver and Montego Bay, operating weekly flights through the winter season until April 17, 2018. Once the flights start Sunwing says it expects to be the only airline offering the route direct from Vancouver.

The tour operator already offers vacation packages from the city to Jamaica, however, this winter will be the first time that the island has been accessible via direct flights with Sunwing.

“We have been offering vacation packages from Vancouver to Montego Bay for three years and are certain that the introduction of a direct flight service will be well received by vacationers in search of a tropical escape this winter,” said Sunwing’s President of Tour Operations, Andrew Dawson.

Resort options include one of Jamaica’s newest properties, Royalton Negril Resort & Spa, offering unlimited reservation-free dining, outdoor lounges, nightly entertainment and a range of free sports and children’s activity programs. Hideaway at Royalton Negril boasts a dedicated beach area, adults-only infinity pool, and exclusive bar and restaurant.

There’s also Sensatori Azul Beach Resort Jamaica, with an enviable location on Seven Mile Beach, varied à la carte dining experiences, extensive pool complex, a fully-equipped fitness centre and daily kids programs.
