MIAMI — Climbing walls and race car tracks on cruise ships have become run of the mill these days. But leave it to Carnival Cruise Line to really impress passengers with its new ‘Pizza Anywhere’ offering.

Available through its newly enhanced Carnival Cruise Line Hub App, ‘Pizza Anywhere’ allows guests to satisfy their cravings at any time with the touch of a button. To place an order, they simply click on the ship’s map to mark their location, take a selfie to identify themselves, and select their desired pizza (margherita, funghi, prosciutto, pepperoni and quattro formaggi).

And just like that, as if Pizza Gods truly exist, a cooked-to-order, piping hot cheesy pizza will be promptly delivered to their exact location!

Pizzas cost a very affordable US$5 each (another selling point), which is automatically charged to guests’ Sail & Sign shipboard accounts.

First available on Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista, ‘Pizza Anywhere’ on Hub App has now been extended to nine other ships: Carnival Victory, Carnival Magic, Carnival Breeze, Carnival Conquest, Carnival Dream, Carnival Sensation, Carnival Glory, Carnival Ecstasy, and Carnival Liberty.

“At Carnival, we want to help our guests Choose Fun from the moment they book their cruise,” said Ron Dillehay, vice president of booked guest e-commerce and guest experience for Carnival Cruise Line. “The new features on the Hub App bring their vacation planning to the palm of their hand in ways that consumers have come to expect from great technology.”

The upgraded app also allows guests to manage their booking, complete their online check-in and purchase a wide variety of items and experiences before departure, including shore excursions, spa treatments and specialty dining reservations.
