Public consultations for Ontario’s Travel Industry Act start Feb. 22

Speak out! TICO encourages industry to complete Travel Industry Act survey

TORONTO — TICO is calling on all travel industry members to help the Ontario Government identify consumer protection challenges in the travel sector by completing an online survey.

With a comprehensive review of the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05 underway, the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services is inviting all stakeholders to provide their input in support of their review.

An online survey to obtain feedback from both industry and consumers be available until Dec. 3, 2016.

“TICO encourages all industry members to participate in the Ontario Government’s comprehensive review by completing the online survey. This is a great opportunity to provide your feedback and contribute to modernizing the consumer protection legislation, strengthen consumer protection and reduce burden on business,” said Richard Smart, TICO President and CEO. “We also encourage you to share the survey link broadly with your customers, colleagues and friends.”
