VANCOUVER — Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours in Canada is offering Southeast Asia savings that include a new sailing and free airfare on bookings.

Early bookers will receive the lowest prices, says the company, along with first choice on sailing dates and itineraries. Additionally, they can take advantage of US$495 premium economy airfare or free economy flights on Mekong River departures of 13 days and longer, and free economy flights on Irrawaddy River cruises.

Booking Scenic’s 11-day sailings on either river means $700 per couple off the fare.

These special offers are valid for bookings made by Dec. 31, 2018.

New for 2019/2020 is the 18-day ‘Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Luxury Mekong’, which takes the in-depth Vietnam-Cambodia sailing and adds a five-night luxury exploration of the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi and its World Heritage-listed Halong Bay.

To support sustainable travel, Scenic guests cruising the Irrawaddy and the Mekong are also given the option to purchase a reusable water bottle to use throughout their journey, reducing the amount of disposable single-use water bottles being used. Filling stations are available throughout the ship and there are also water filling stations at all the shore stops. All funds from the purchase of these reusable bottles are put back into local community projects.

Since the inception of this program, Scenic has funded 100% of the cost of two projects in South East Asia: the provision of clean running water to the Chiro Community in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, and the construction of new sanitation blocks in Yandabo Village in Myanmar.
