South Pacific on the rise, says Globus, five new itineraries set for 2020

TORONTO — In response to increasing demand, Globus has announced five new escorted group vacations as part of its 2020 South Pacific lineup.

These itineraries, which include air-conditioned motorocoaches with free Wi-Fi, range from nine to 25 days, and include:

  • Wild Tasmania – This nine-day vacation kicks off in the capital Hobart with a cruise to see waterfalls, followed by a visit to Mount Field National Park, a cruise down the Gordon River to Cradle Mountain National Park, and a stop at the notorious Tasmanian Devil for a Penguin Tour.
  • Great Sights of Australia – This 12-day adventure includes such highlights as the Australia Zoo and the Wildlife Hospital, a ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef. Alternatively, guests can enjoy the reef from a glass-bottom boat.
  • Best Kept Secret: Western Australia – From Margaret River to the Ningaloo Reef, this 19-day guided vacation includes visits to Caversham Wildlife Park to meet koalas and kangaroos, the Ngilgi Cave, and Xanadu Vineyard for a wine tasting. Guests will also travel the coast to experience the natural beauty at the Pinnacles, Geraldton, Hutt Lagoon, Kalbarri National Park, Monkey Mia, Carnarvon, Coral Bay and Exmouth, home of Ningaloo Reef.
  • Australian Safari – This 21-day adventure takes travellers from Brisbane to the Great Barrier Reef, and from Ayers Rock to Tasmania. Highlights include visits to a kangaroo sanctuary and a koala conservation centre, a stop at Cradle Mountain National Park, and free time in Melbourne and Sydney.
  • South Pacific by Land & Sea: While on this 25-day guided vacation to Australia and New Zealand, clients will cruise on the Tasman Sea and sail the waters of Fiordland National Park and Milford Sound while on a 14-night Holland America Cruise. They’ll also fly to Uluru’s Ayers Rock, take part in an Outback barbeque, swim in the Esplanade Lagoon and visit the Koala Gardens.

“We’re seeing a significant increase in interest in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji as travellers put them high on their wish-lists,” said Stéphanie Bishop of the Globus family of brands’ Canadian office. “As a result, we’ve increased our vacations by 50% with new, immersive journeys to Australia – including Tasmania – and to New Zealand.”

To entice clients to book early, Globus is offering 5% savings on Globus South Pacific itineraries if booked by April 28, 2020.
