Society of American Travel Writers launches Canadian at-par offer

TORONTO — The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) is appealing to Canadians with a special ‘Canadian dollars at par’ offer.

The near-70-year-old organization, boasts some 1,000 members across North America comprising travel PRs and members of the media. Its Canadian chapter includes members from the Yukon to Newfoundland and Labrador.

Running until Jan. 31, 2024, the offer allows new members to pay US$324 (regularly $440) for the application fee and first year’s dues. SATW is hoping to attract Canadians working in travel public relations such as tourist boards, DMOs and hotels.

“Because our media members must meet our stringent application requirements, our public relations members know we are providing access to some of the leading members of our profession throughout North America,” said Canadian Chapter Chair Carolyn Ray. “But most of all, SATW is about elevating the craft of travel journalism. No one understands what we do in our industry like someone who encounters the same challenges and rewards every day.”

Those interested in joining can find more details at https://satw.org. More information about the program for PRs (Associates) program can be found at https://satw.org/associates/. Any questions can be sent to Nicola Blazier at nblazier@jessonco.com.
