MONACO — Silversea Cruises has taken delivery of its 10th ship, Silver Dawn, in Ancona, Italy.

An intimate delivery ceremony was held earlier this month at the Fincantieri shipyard where Silversea President and CEO Roberto Martinoli penned his signature to officially take delivery of the ship, which marks Silversea’s third new ship since the start of 2020.
“In welcoming the beautiful Silver Dawn as the 10th ship in our fleet, we have reached a huge milestone on our mission to take our guests deep into the world in luxury,” said Martinoli. “Silver Dawn represents an evolution of luxury cruise travel. With Silver Dawn, we affirm our position as the leader in ultra-luxury cruising. I look forward to welcoming our guests aboard Silver Dawn from spring 2022.”
Silver Dawn is the third ship in Silversea’s Muse-class series and the fourth ship to result from the line’s longstanding collaboration with Fincantieri. It accommodates just 596 guests in 298 oceanview suites – 96% of which have a private veranda – and has a crew-to-guest ration of 1:1.45.
Building on the success of Silversea’s culinary program S.A.L.T., which launched aboard Silver Moon, Silver Dawn will also introduce the line’s new wellness program, Otium. In Roman culture, ‘Otium’ was a period of time dedicated to leisure during which people bathed, conversed, san, drank, ate and relaxed. With this as inspiration, Otium will encourage indulgence, pampering and pleasure, and provide guests with a customized, multi-dimensional wellness journey throughout the ship, starting in spacious suites to the reimagined spa and trickling throughout every moment of the cruise experience.
