Silversea is heading back to the Galápagos in June

MONACO — Silversea Cruises is resuming service in the Galápagos Islands, with all-new itineraries on the new Silver Origin starting June 19.

Sailings will be available to fully vaccinated guests as part of Silversea’s multi-layered set of science-backed protocols designed to safeguard the health and safety of guests, crew and local communities. Crew embarking on the Silver Origin will also be required to be fully vaccinated.

The 100-guest, all-suite, all-balcony Silver Origin, which will welcome guests year-round in the Galápagos Archipelago, will sail on two alternating itineraries that incorporate five maiden calls, including the island of Santa Fe. Each itinerary will include calls in the islands of Fernandina and Isabela as well as enriched programs ashore. 

The Western itinerary from San Cristóbal to Baltra, calls at Kicker Rock, Isla Bartolomé, Buccaneer Cove (Santiago), Punta Vicente Roca (Isabela), Punta Espinoza (Fernandina), Office Bay (Floreana), Santa Cruz Highlands, Fausto Llerena Breeding Centre in Puerto Ayora (Santa Cruz), Isla Guy Fawkes and more. Guests will learn about the region’s history of whalers and pirates as well as the multiple ecosystems that exist within this small archipelago.

The North-Central itinerary from Baltra to San Cristóbal calls at Daphne Major, Prince Philip’s Steps (Genovesa), Sullivan Bay (Santiago), Gardner Bay (Española), Rodriguez Breeding Centre (San Cristóbal and more. This enhanced itinerary appeals directly to bird and nature lovers and includes snorkelling with sea turtles in Fernandina and meeting the iconic Galápagos Penguins in Isabela. The brand new destination of Santa Fé Island is where guests can spot endemic iguana that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, while Punta Mangle will provide the chance to explore lava fields and view Flightless Cormorants.
