TORONTO — Signature Vacations will begin serving Los Cabos next month where RIU Hotels & Resorts has re-opened Riu Santa Fe and Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas.
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas welcomed its first guests on Thursday, Oct. 9, while Riu Santa Fe officially re-opened on Oct. 16, 2014 following hurricane damage.
Situated near the town of Cabo San Lucas, the two resorts each have something different to offer. Combining a singular oceanfront setting with an opulent architectural design, the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas stands out for its spectacular coastal views, luxurious accommodation and attentive service. Borrowing from local architectural traditions, the Riu Santa Fe offers a host of land and water activities in a relaxed, family-oriented setting.
Guests at both resorts can look forward to à la carte dining in a number of different restaurants, complimentary water sports and supervised children’s activities together with extensive pool complexes. They’ll also enjoy a host of exclusive RIU-topia all-inclusive benefits such as unlimited dining at specialty restaurants, regularly re-stocked in-room mini bar and in-room liquor dispenser.
According to the Los Cabos Hotel Association, the two RIU hotels are amongst over 20 resorts that will all be re-opened by the end of month, with at least a further 15 expected to be ready to welcome guests by the turn of the year. Los Cabos International Airport re-opened Oct. 8, 2014.
Los Cabos’ lineup of world class golf courses sustained only minor storm damage with over half of the 14 courses expected to be in operation by the end of the month. This total takes into account two new arrivals; the latest Jack Nicklaus designed course at Quivira Golf Club (which opened Oct. 9, 2014) and Tiger Wood’s first completed 18-hole golf course, Diamante El Cardonal (slated to open December 2014).
Andrew Dawson, Chief Operating Officer for the Sunwing Travel Group, said “Los Cabos is a varied destination that offers excellent options for both families and couples. Along with plentiful water sports, the region also stands out for its golf courses. A perennially popular destination amongst our clientele we are delighted that the region has bounced back so quickly so that our customers can once again enjoy their vacations in this attractive destination.”
Signature Vacations will be offering vacation packages to Los Cabos once more from Nov. 6, 2014 departing from Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Options to depart from Victoria, Regina and Saskatoon will be available later in the same month.
A one week vacation package staying at Riu Santa Fe is available from $495 plus $392 taxes per person based on two people sharing a double room on an all-inclusive basis and departing Toronto on Nov. 6, 13, 20 or 27, 2014. Signature Vacations guests benefit from exclusive RIU-topia all-inclusive luxuries which include: a daily champagne breakfast, in-room coffee maker and bathrobe, 24-hour room service, poolside beverage service and free WiFi.
