CHICAGO — New details have been released about the Riu Plaza Chicago, which will make its grand debut in 2024.
With construction work well underway, the 28-floor building will open its doors with a four-star rating, 390 rooms and a sky bar on floor 26. But perhaps the most notable feature will be terrace’s stunning glass balcony, which will hang 88 metres above the ground, allowing the bravest visitors to enjoy views of the city from directly beneath their feet.
Located at 150 East Ontario Street in the Streeterville neighbourhood, Riu Plaza Chicago will be situated near the Magnificent Mile and the famous Navy Pier, with the Chicago River to the south and Lake Michigan to the east.
Upon completion, the hotel will join RIU’s existing portfolio in the United States, where it already has Riu Plaza properties in Miami, San Francisco and New York.
