VANCOUVER — Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours has expanded its offerings in the Middle East to include new cruise- and land-based tours for the 2020-2021 season.

The new 12-day ‘Wonders of the Nile’ itinerary, which sails roundtrip from Cairo, is priced from $10,095 per person, double, and includes such highlights as the Great Pyramids, Abu Simbel, and an optional hot air balloon flight. Additional trips throughout Egypt include the 12-day ‘Treasures of Egypt’ and the 14-day ‘Egypt In Depth’, which also tacks on a trip to the Red Sea.

For clients looking to combine Egypt and neighbouring Jordan, Scenic is offering the new 19-day ‘Egypt and Jordan Experience’ with fares starting at $17,345 per person, double. On this tour, clients enjoy a selection of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that include a six-night Nile river cruise, a re-enactment of the Roman chariot races, a private visit to the Royal Automobile Museum, and floating in the Dead Sea.

Guests on the river cruise portions sail on the Sanctuary Sun Boat III, which accommodates up to 34 passengers and is modelled on the opulent era of the roaring 1920. This intimate boutique ship offers spacious cabins with oversized picture windows, a Sun Deck pool, tented lounged chairs and the Copper Tray restaurant.

Those looking to book land-only escorted tours have a choice of options focusing on Israel and Jordan, or a combination of both, with itineraries such as the 15-day ‘Jordan and Israel Experience’. Highlights include the Old City of Jerusalem, sleeping in Martian tents in Wadi Rum, and guided tours of the World Heritage city of Petra.

Land extensions are also available, including a four-day Dubai stay and a Blue Train tour that connects guests with South Africa’s colonial past.
