VANCOUVER — Scenic’s newest ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, is on schedule to set sail in April 2023.

Construction on the new vessel is advancing as planned, says Scenic. Scenic Eclipse II’s inaugural voyage will be the 11-day Incredible Iberian Discovery, from Lisbon to Barcelona. Early bird offers are available on many sailings with savings of up to 20%.

Both Scenic Eclipse II and sister ship Scenic Eclipse are 228-passenger ships (200 in Polar regions) featuring an almost 1:1 staff-to-guest ratio, private butler service, and 10 dining options, All voyages are truly all-inclusive, says the company.

Here’s a look at what’s new for Scenic Eclipse II …

• Scenic Eclipse II continues the commitment to wellness integral to sister ship Scenic Eclipse, which offers the 5,920² ft. Senses Spa, plus the only dedicated Yoga and Pilates studio for a ship its size. Scenic Eclipse II will add in an expanded steam room area to include aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain and experience showers, and the introduction of a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds, enhanced with aromatherapy scents designed to benefit mind, body and soul.
• On Deck 10, a new bar area with indoor and outdoor seating will be a highlight for guests to enjoy the views with a drink in hand, as they cruise through Antarctica, the Arctic, the Mediterranean or the Caribbean. A large, oval-shaped pool with comfortable relaxation space will also be a new feature.

Purpose-built for this region, the Polar Class-6 rating and oversized zero-speed stabilizers ensure a safe and comfortable expedition into polar waters, with Scenic’s expert Discovery Team providing guests with insights and once-in-a-lifetime excursions among the penguins and other wildlife. The 15-day Beyond the Antarctic Circle voyage sails on a roundtrip from Ushuaia (Argentina), with prices starting from $23,351.
• Guests can discover the lands above the Arctic Circle in ultra-luxury as Scenic redefines polar exploration. The 12-day Exploring the High Arctic voyage from Reykjavik to Copenhagen departs Aug. 2, 2023 with prices from $15,707.
• The dramatic coastline of Scotland is front and centre on Scenic’s Scottish Isles: Historic Trails & Wilderness as Scenic Eclipse II departs Edinburgh and makes its way around the north end of the Island. The nine-day adventure departs on Sept. 13, 2023 with pricing starting at $10,863.
• Australia’s northern territories from Cairns to Darwin are the focus of the 11-day Australia’s Top End: Cape York & Arnhern Land voyage. Prices start from $14,741 based on the April 30, 2024 departure.
• The 13-day Reefs & Volcanic Isles: Tahiti to Fiji sails on March 31, 2024 with fares starting at $13,502.
• The nine-day Caribbean Sunsets: Turks & Caicos Islands to Jamaica sailing, departs Nassau on Oct. 23, 2023. Fares start at $8,424.
